Light & Shadows

I woke up this morning to another dull overcast day.. It had rained again overnight and the clouds suggested it would be back.  But by mid morning as we were having coffee, it was defintely getting brighter...we could actually turn the lights off for reading.  And then within half an hour, there were no clouds at all.  I took a closer look out of the window to make sure I was not hallucinating and yes, it was more or less a clear blue sky.  

And as I turned, the sunlight off the fence caught my eye with the shadows and shapes, so I thought...."that'll make a good photo for the da", , so grabbed the iPhone and ran around the front of the house and grabbed the shot, with my wife wondering what on earth I was doing taking a photo of a fence.  

Ten minutes or so later, the sun was still shining but the shadow shapes had all but disappeared.
