Reflections!
I took this around 7.30 this evening. The light was so much better than it had been all day. As I looked out of my kitchen window at the river I saw lots of different reflections. I went onto the decking to take this. You can see a beam which goes across the river from my house attached to a wall the other side. This used to be where lock gates once operated many years ago. Part of our house is 200 years old. We have a beam up in the bathroom that has carvings on it dated 25/12/22, some poor person had to work Christmas Day.
I've had a good day. I met my cousin over at Lakeside. I needed to go to Decathlon as I won some vouchers last year in an open water race which needed to be spent. My cousin had to go to Go Outdoors because her daughter is doing a charity walk along the Great Walk of China and sets off tomorrow. I love meeting my cousin. We went for a nice cup of tea, chatted for a long while, caught up with what the families are doing and then left to do our shopping. Both shops are absolutely huge, so much choice it makes your head spin.
Then it was home to my dogs. Oscar had been quite naughty again. He had knocked the bin over and emptied it all over the place. I even have a dog lock on the bin but he got through that. I let Oscar and Maisie out and before I knew it the dogs from next door had raced across the river and were really going for my two. I raced down the garden with my mop! It must have done something as they scarpered. Later on tonight I let them out and before I knew it they were over again barking, snarling and snapping. They quite frighten me to be honest. I feel braver when I rush down the garden with my mop....it must look quite comical!
No exercise today so far..I'm slipping big time...I think I'll have to do a fitness blender session or two before I go to bed. I feel too guilty doing nothing!
