Birthday treat

It being my birthday today I went to Totnes with Sian and molly for lunch and on the way back we went for a quick walk on the cobbledy lane, an old packhorse lane in the south hams next to a swiftly flowing stream, due to loads of recent rain! Had choir practice this evening where they sang happy birthday then I walked home and treated myself to dinner out at Hook and Line!

I know the chap who runs it and I made the mistake of telling him that it was my birthday and he brought me a drink! Very kind! Then later on after the main course of lamb lollipops I had a forest fruits crumble with ice cream and the whole restaurant sang happy birthday to me! Extremely embarrassing but very sweet! As you can see in the picture they also inscribed happy birthday in chocolate by the side of the dish. A short time later another guest was serenaded in the same way by the rest of the restaurant to his equal embarrassment. All in all it was a great day and was very blessed by friends and strangers!
