Snowy Finches
We got about 3 inches of fluffy snow overnight with some lingering light snow showers after it got light. I snuggled next to Jax on the sofa and shot some images through the freshly cleaned windows. Two extra layers of glass don't make for the sharpest images of all time, but they are fine for today. I liked this image since it shows both a male and female House Finch (Yardbird 2022 #1) And the snowflakes definitely add something nice, don't they?
And Jax LOVES the snow! He doesn't know whether to run, eat it, or jump in the air.
We had an excellent time at our first Puppy Obedience class last night. There were supposed to be 5 pups in the class, but a pair of German Shepards were so completely out of control that their owner quietly arranged with the trainer to do private lessons and took them out. They were large and very aggressive acting and barking in a piercingly shrill pitch, non stop. I was eternally grateful to see them leave. That left Jax, an 8-month old female labradoodle and a very shy mixed breed who hid under his owner's seat the whole time. So basically it was a semi-private class for Jax and his new best friend, the doodle. In between them trying to play non-stop, they both got some good basic lessons and we all came home with homework. And Jax made a very furtive and brief attempt to mount the much bigger Doodle - fortunately, she towered over him and no one was the wiser.
Speaking of Jax and his ability to endlessly entertain us, I uploaded the "Jax vs Stink Bug" video to YouTube. It's 45 seconds and I can promise that you will laugh. Have a look HERE (and yes, that is me giggling in the background.) And the stinkie was fine - he's now outside where he belongs.
I successfully uninstalled and reinstalled LR and all seems to be working well now.
Having virtual cocktails tonight with my besties, followed by a chicken chili in the Instant Pot (new recipe and I forgot a couple of ingredients, so who knows...)
Doing the dark with ginger and lime again today - it's addictive.
