Winter is coming!

I discovered today that there’s a pond in the courtyard outside the back of my new classroom, it should be absolutely beautiful in the spring. The back door of my room (otherwise known as ‘Lab 7’) is at the top of the picture and I’ve put an inside view in the extras. Just need to sort out a lab coat now, so I look the part!

There was great excitement in the staff room at lunchtime as we got the ‘what to do if the school has to close because of snow’ email. None of us had heard anything about snow being on the way but on my drive home it started sleeting quite heavily and by the time I dropped my son at work this evening it had turned into proper snow, although it didn’t settle.

I did laugh yesterday when my son said it was so cold his facemask had frozen onto his face. Winter’s definitely on its way!
