Chick blip

Heads or tails? Grebe or narrow boats? It came down heads. I like the markings on the great crested grebe chick which has grown some in the past few days. No wonder. It took three fish off its parents in the short time I was watching.

On the way back, through St John's, there was a gathering of narrow boats on the canal. Not any old narrow boats, these, but works of art with some fine paintwork. Maybe I'll blip one of these tomorrow if they're still around.

Pre-fishing excitement building with one week to go, but need to shift a bit of work first. Boo. My father-in-law did well this week, though. Not bad for 87 (or any age for that matter).
