Goosander

This female goosander has been visiting the Peedie Sea for a few days, but this is the first I've seen of it. I see goosanders on Glasgow and Paisley rivers when south, but they aren't common in Orkney, whereas red-breasted mergansers breed here and winter in rafts of 70 or 80 birds.
