Every once in a while, I like to just put a record on the turn table and let it play out without amplification: scratching voices, quietly jangling guitars, and a bit of snare whisper forth.

From those little etches of preserved music, you can fill a whole room. Just needs a little help from the embiggen-er (pictured here).
