Tunnel Fun

This is a very old tunnel from Wellington city to Haitaitai and today we walked through it to the Greta Point Cafe and after a delightful lunch The Boss took a bus home while The Bossess staggered back over the hill. It was a fun outing and The Boss made his 10,000 in one hit. The Mount Victoria Tunnel was opened in 1931 AND it has a wonderfully fun history. You drive into the tunnel and with your car horn go "Toot di di Toot Toot" and someone else will go ?"Toot Toot"
I don't believe I have ever been in this tunnel when that hasn't happened and some years ago a newbi City Councillor who wanted this behaviour stopped was soundly rubbished for his efforts.
The "Empire State" is growing out of its foundations but The Boss is also making it last, Outside...A lovely sunny day but slightly cooler at 18c
