Signs of Life

I take care of my four-year old grandson on Thursdays, so picked him up mid-morning. We had a fun day, working on a giant floor puzzle of the solar system and then playing with his dinosaurs/book...complete with recorded sounds of dinosaurs roaring! We met with our landscaper who will be tearing up our front walkway and lawn in the next couple of months (no more grass!) during which my grandson played in the enormous puddles created by all the rain. He had so much fun and was soaked!

My granddaughter's bus home from school was cancelled...becoming a more common thing these days with the increased Covid cases, so after I got my grandson in his carseat, I managed to grab a quick shot of these miniature daffodils (Tete-a-tete) which are such a glimpse of spring and hope...or is it hope springs eternal?!  It's the only shot I managed today, since I finally had a pedicure after I dropped off the kids. Critical, you see, since I'm planning a short visit to Palm Springs and leaving Sunday....assuming the flight isn't cancelled. Fingers crossed, I desperately need four days in the sun away from all of my responsibilities!
