An Escargatoire of Snails

Out for my short walk this morning I spotted this cluster of snails on a south facing wall. Got me wondering what the collective noun for snails is. Found “escargatoire” - a nursery for snails; also a rout, a trail or a walk. No mention of lane, which is the name on the street sign below them. Just as long as they don’t trail, walk or rout their way to my garden- I’m sure there are plenty hibernating there anyway.
