Bolt..
on a rusty old otter board.
Went along the coast to see if there were any trawlers in the harbour today. Not many boats there but there were loads of nets stacked on the pier. I love all the colours and textures you can find. This bolt was on a huge steel otter board. Otter boards are used to hydro-dynamically spread the nets whilst trawling and also to keep them down on the seabed. Sometimes they are set to dig into the seabed like a plough which causes a turbid cloud of sand causing the fish to head into the nets.
Happy fish on a Friday folks!
