The Party's Over

Well, it's been lovely having decorations up: a welcoming sight for #2 Daughter and partner coming down to stay, bright for us coming back from our Christmas time away, great to have the room looking nice when The Mate came for New Year's Eve and, of course, I've always been lucky having decorations up for my birthday.

We used to leave them up to encompass The M-I-L's birthday tomorrow, on 12th Night, when she stayed/lived with us. By comparison the house used to look bare for #1 Daughter's birthday at the weekend. I used to compensate with fairy lights and coloured balloons for that day.

These baubles, glass beads and silver strands decorated the window at one end of our lounge. I will look forward to getting them out again in December.
