The Mechanics Institute

This building is/was part of the model village in Swindon, built as a social center for the Victorian railway workers. It has seen better days and also suffered from the brick theater addition added in the 1930s.

According to the interweb ....

"It was a pretty theatre with an elaborate proscenium and (unusually for its kind) a flytower."
