Wombat Hollow Bistro!!
Mauzee and I were able to feast our eyes on the most amazing feeding frenzy at Wombat Hollow late this afternoon. Tucked away in the banksia bushes were a large family of Yellow tailed Black Cockatoos all happily munching away on the banksia cones. The hardest thing about tonight’s blip image is choosing the main one so to make life easier I’ve added three additional images. At one stage we counted at least 7 of the majestic creatures at the dining table and everyone of them had their own cone to munch on. It’s moments like these when I realise once again how blessed we are to live each day in this wonderful environment. The fact that they were happy for me to get quite close to them to take an image and they were comfortable in my presence is very humbling indeed.
We are certainly not too keen to leave home at the moment. It seems that the Omicron Virus is surging through the community and up until a week ago we didn’t know one person who had contracted Covid. Unfortunately that’s no longer the case and each day we hear of family members and friends who have succumbed. Time to be super vigilant I feel.
