Early Morning in the Village.........

................the leaves on the weeping willow are emerging at last! The Cherry Tree in the foreground was in full flower at this time last year but not this! It must be at least 3 weeks behind.
The footbridge over the beck/stream you can see was being built the year I moved here - I remember going into the Coffee Shop that morning and saying to the Owner that I was moving in and was pleased to see that the bridge they were building in my honour was nearly complete - t0 which she replied "We wondered what the occasion was!!!" I thought she was joking too - but she wasn't!!!!! - she had taken me completely seriously - I quickly told her I was pulling her leg and apologised! - ( I did leave a larger tip than usual and the scones were delicious.) Amazing how gullible some folk are! I must remember that not everyone has my warped sense of humour!

The weather is bright and sunny - lots of white fluffy clouds - though the wind has dropped a little it is still only 4 deg C
