We took a trip to Nara to see the deer!

According to legend, a god called Takemikazuchi rode into Nara on a white deer to guard the newly built capital of Heij?-ky?. Since then the deer have been regarded as heavenly animals, and are now given free reign to wander all around the park and temples in the city. There are many stalls dotted around, selling 'shika sembei', deer crackers. They seem pretty spoiled to be honest!
