I found this rare old photo today of Ingrid Erns in her Adelaide studio in 1955. Some of her work hangs in the Australian National Portrait Gallery. You often see my blip photos of her work.

Ingrid Erns (1919–1987), was a landscape and portrait painter and art teacher, born in Riga, Latvia and studied at art school in Riga and Paris. She arrived in Adelaide from Germany on November 19th, 1948.
