Cold wet start

We had athletics sports today. Although the day turned out okay eventually, we started in lousy conditions. We had a misty rain to begin with and when we headed out to start the field was covered in little patches of misted cobweb. The webs are so fine that you can barely see them even with a macro which means that if it hadn't been misty we wouldn't have seen them at all.

If you go large you can see that each droplet seems to hold a tiny reflection - don't know what of though, too small for that.

I spent all day with saturated shoes and socks, but at least I had shoes on. Many of our students took theirs off, claiming it was easier in bare feet than in wet footwear. Hardy kids, these country ones.
