Snow on a rusty old mailbox

Had to take a photo of the sad looking face on the old mailbox! It's warmed up and the snow has started to melt slowly. According to the weather network, it was 5 degrees early this morning, but when we went out for a walk, it was 2 degrees according to the thermometer in the car. Rain was threatening all day, but we got in a good walk and it didn't start raining until late afternoon. It sounds like freezing rain, but it's too dark out already at 4:29pm to know for sure. We do have more snow/mixed precipitation in the forecast.
We walked up to have a look at the sheets of ice on the rocks in the old quarry that we could see from the road. I couldn't get close enough to get a good photo and there were too many trees in the way, but I've included an extra as a record.
