Shorts Weather

I took to the bike to bring in the new year, the weather so mild that I was in shorts. Running has taken priority over cycling these last few months and it felt good to be on the roads again, as if all of October, November and December had never happened. For all that I can remember of the last three months, they might just as well have not. On the other hand, it was like we had skipped all of January, February and March and landed in April. It was the warmest New Year's Day on record - an easy 15 deg and feeling considerably warmer than that in the sun.
