Following the leader

One parent at the front and the other bringing up the rear as the swan family cruised around the calmer water in the wee nature reserve.
I'm pleased to see that all five cygnets are still there but I fear for not much longer.

The extra photo are the same five cygnets but photographed on May 25th when they were very much smaller.

I'm glad I went out for my walk in the morning when it was dry but windy. It has been wet from mid afternoon.
