Blowing the Cobwebs Away

Off we went to Formby for a walk along the beach.
Lots of other dog walkers felt the same.
Have been yearning to be near the sea for a long time.
Lots of memories for Tim and Adele as it was a favourite haunt when the boys were young, they used to love the sandunes here.
Typical teenagers they preferred to stay in bed this morning.
After we had headed out for about three miles we turned to come back just as the heavens opened. By the time we got back to the car we were soaked through to our underwear.
Sat on the dog’s towels as we ate our sandwiches ( cold cuts from yesterday’s roast) and drank a strong cuppa tea from a flask, tasted so good.
Got straight into my swimsuit when we got back and went in the hot tub.
Once again l am in my PJs, drinking a glass of Prosecco while l do my blip and listening to the Leeds United match on the radio.
We will be getting back to Get Back this evening, so pleased we have waited to watch it together.
Will no doubt be telling Tim for the umpteenth time of when l saw the Beatles in concert when l was sixteen or was that fifteen, must check, still have the ticket somewhere.
