True Blue, Radically Speaking

Finally plumbed in and working, once all the bleeding was done upstairs (air bubbles float).

Managed to sort out the major issue I had with the fridge unit worktop after much two steps forward and three back (plus untypable colourful worded language). The edging strip(s) that came with the worktops were delivered as the wrong depth, meaning I had to glue two strips together as opposed to one. I had to jigsaw off the excess, route off the edges only to find that the thin(ner) edge pinged off during the first attempt. Not funny. Luckily it glued back ok (two part bonding solution that is the same colour as the worktop and is rock hard when sets). Still this was time could have done with spending elsewhere and more productively. That said, these acrylic/quartz solid worktops are actually a joy to work with, the finished product being quite satisfying to the touch. Despite being easily marked, the marks (and chips) can be rubbed out easily with the care kit that comes with the worktops. This is one reason why I don't do this sort of thing for a living: the thought of having an unnecessary fight when it comes to getting things right. God knows what would've happened if we were paying somebody to do this.
