On Telly
I took this of the TV this afternoon, as I couldn't go to Aintree.
Today was the first day of the Grand National meeting, when amateur jockeys have a crack at riding over the unique spruce fences.
I have known these two young ladies since they were toddlers, and already competent little riders. At the age of 11 and 9 they rode in pony racing finals at Aintree and today, 10 years on, they both rode in the Fox Hunters' Chase. Whilst they were not in the frame, both their rides jumped the 18 fences without incident.
Gina is on the right, and her younger sister Bridget is on the left. Here is a photo of Bridget enjoying a recent victory
They are both such lovely girls, how their mother was able to watch them both live, I have no idea!!
