The Dappled Dell

My Dear Princess and Dear Friends,

Our summer up to this point has been fairly damp. But the last two or three days have been gloriously sunny. 

It is on days like today when I feel very lucky to live in Kāpiti, there is just enough sun to be pleasant, just enough breeze to take the edge off. 

Today's blip is the corner of the garden that I have come to call The Dappled Dell. In Hani and Zay's stories, this is where magical creatures live and it makes me happy to imagine that they live here too.

In actuality, today it contained lazy cats, escaping the midday sun, while I sat under the garden umbrella, watching them sleep and the birds hopping around.

Maybe it is a little bit magical after all.
