HAPPY NEW YEAR 2022

A deceptively blue sky today, for it is freezing. I think it’s a good sort of sky to welcome in the new year. Much preferable to dreich and grey. I think it’s a plane but I like the added touch of the contrail shooting heavenward. I’m not above looking for good omens. 

The old oak trees were given new life when several  burned ones  were cut dow . With more light they should branch out, and a whole row of trees was revealed in the background.

Since I grew up in Pasadena I followed long tradition starting the new year watching the Rose Parade. on television. After being canceled last year, it was an especially happy spectacle this year.
