Coming To An End

As 2021 comes to an end we can look back at a pretty turbulent year both as a family and as a nation. Covid pretty much dominates every facet of our daily lives and looks as though it will for 2022 as well.
I spent the day with Joshua, Sam had plans and Mrs S was working, paying the price for having Christmas off. Breakfast, few lunch time beers at the Athenaeum then home. It looked as though most venues in the town were taking the low key approach with some not even opening.
Sam went out to meet friends on the beach with a carry out, Josh and I watched TV, chatted and waited for Mrs S to arrive.
At midnight I celebrated with my wife and youngest son drinking a wobbly coffee (Baileys instead of milk).
Rock ‘n’ Roll lifestyle it ain’t but it suits me.
