Toasting Marshmallows At Midnight

I had a lesson on China booked this morning and I arrived at the yard with plenty of time to get ready. I was picking out China’s back feet when someone spooked him and he jumped, slamming his foot down…right on mine! So I do apologise to any of you who heard me swearing as I could probably be heard from the next county!!

Luckily it wasn’t broken and after 20 mins in a bucket of cold water, I was able to put my boot back on and I went ahead with my lesson. Laura was very gentle with me and we did most of it in walk…it was fine until I realised I had to jump down off China when I finished!

Fortunately we were going to friends for the evening and I knew they wouldn’t mind me turning up in my slippers! We had a great evening to see in the new year, with plenty of lovely food and drink, playing games, having lots of laughs and toasting marshmallows at midnight.
