Distant starling murmuration

A good day at home. I planted out a lot of bulbs this morning, in pots. These are the ones I neglected a few weeks ago, so it'll be a bonus if they flourish.
This afternoon Richard and I went over to Potteric Carr nature reserve near Doncaster, to see if we could watch a starling murmuration. There have been some good sightings there in the last few weeks.
In the event, the starlings were quite a way off, but it'll be worth going back again to see if we get lucky. It was a beautiful late afternoon, so we had a good walk in the mild twilight.
