Juvenile Exposure

Slosh

I'm sorry for not blipping over the past few days, I have been in the middle if nowhere, in deepest, darkest Surrey somewhere near Chiddingfold (borderline Narnia.)

I have been working/helping for a photographer called John Daniels. He is primarily a Wildlife photographer and has featured on the covers of National Geographic and BBC Wildlife Magazine. He is self employed so works solo in his home studio in his garage. The studio itself is extremely professional, full of flash guns and equipment and props, it's like Aladdin's Cave for photographers.
All the work that he does within the studio ranges from tiny chicks to huge lions roaring into the lens. It's truly remarkable the kind of animals that he has photographed in a shed.

He makes his money by selling the photographs onto commercial companies or advertising agencies, but mainly he gets them published into greetings cards or what have you. John himself is one of the nicest men you will ever meet although he is completely bonkers. He literally talks to all the birds as if they were his family, even asking them how their days are going!
In his time at his current house he has homed three foxes, two owls, the odd badger, three dogs and three cats. He is the modern day Dr Doolittle.

So over the past few days unfortunately although there were no animals on order, I had the chance to help him photograph a cork shooting out of a champagne bottle, a keyboard that spelt 'I love You', various birds and today's Blip.
One of the shoots that needed to be ticked off was the classic sloshing of wine in a wine glass.
The amount of the time we spent trying to get the perfect 'slosh' was quite frustrating because every time poured the wine and didn't get it right or we spilt it, we then had to clean the glasses and mop everything up.
Anyway I felt that this was the best one.
I will be backblipping over the next couple of days purely because I want to show you all the champagne cork shot and the blue tits that I managed to capture in John's botanical garden :D
