Supposedly the rear screen of this Olympus camera doesn't work at all, so you can't adjust the menus. That's why the camera was so cheap. Perhaps an intermittent fault in the connecting cable. I note that replacement ones are available for a few pounds on the big auction site, so it must be a common problem. Order placed.
