New Year

The weather is kind today, mild and plenty of sunshine, but it's very unseasonal. I always admire a couple of silver birch tree on the edge of the park, I love the tall slenderness and the white peeling bark, very beautiful. 
Late to bed after seeing in the new year, and woken by fire crackers at 4.30am this morning....couldn't get back to sleep, feeling a bit jaded today :(
