I think I know what he's having for his NYE supper!  He was thrilled with his catch.  Another fisherman had to come help haul in the line the crab was so heavy.

A sea lion was also fishing under the pier.  I didn't get a shot, only its head surfacing in the distance in the extra with the fisherman posing picturesquely. 

A bracing day for a beach walk, cold, bright, windy.  Then coffee and cake.
