Ury Riverside Walk

We wanted to go for a new walk nearby so had a stroll along the Ury Riverside Walk. The River Ury runs through Inverurie and gives it its name. One of boards mentioned that it used to be spelt Inverury but, and this was the part I didn’t know, was asked to change its name by the Royal Mail to avoid confusion with Inveraray.

Can’t end the year without a wee review. As usual with us it hasn’t be a normal year even without covid.

Moving from Altrincham to Inverurie in April into our own house has been a game changer. I love permanently working from home knowing I won’t need to get into an office and I’ve always been there to get Kara down for naps and to have lunch my family.

Kara growing and becoming this walking talking mini person has been amazing to watch. We watched the 1 year video I made that went up until May this year and we can’t believe how much she’s changed since then. Heck, even the last few weeks her words have just come on leaps and bounds!

Next year we’re hoping to explore more of our local area. Try and find more coffee shops, of course! Grow with Kara, allow her to continue to find the wonder in the world from everything from a stone on ground to the stars in the sky.
