Man up tree

The sun was noticeably absent all day, but that didn’t stop Rob getting up a ladder and felling this elm that had grown up from the hedge. It has been gradually overshadowing my Grenadier apple tree so it had to go. It came down pretty well, no damage to phone lines. There’s plenty more elm along the hedge so hopefully no harm done.
In extra, the central panel of my patchwork is coming together. The corners were a bit tricky but I think I can camouflage them!
