Today was my first day of covering a more senior position. Bit nervous this morning but it was actually fine. Rachel was working in the office, which helped.

This evening we were about to start dinner when Paul messaged the group - it’s Elly’s birthday and they had some time to kill before going out for dinner. We headed straight over, and so did Bill and Madds (and Bean). Such a lovely little impromptu gathering for a glass of bubbly, then home again an hour later to actually eat.

They’re doing their hallway at the moment but I love it in this inbetween stage, bare plaster and bare stairs.
