In the byre

I'm going to make some attempt to photograph these people over a period of time with my shiny super-impractical new camera, if only as a way of trying to make using it more scrutable.  The focus is slightly wrong on this but the one next to it is skew.

Sadly but inevitably I am reasonably sure that these are different animals than last year's.  Well, maybe not sad: they probably have good lives.

I would not be surprised if the correct local term for 'byre' was not 'byre'.
