Experiments

The small scientist had fun using up most of the acids and alkalis/carbonates in my kitchen. This reaction involved bicarbonate of soda and white wine vinegar, resulting in a (sodium) salt, water and carbon dioxide (causing the fun froth).

She also made some coloured solutions and did a bit of pipetting, a useful scientific skill. No explosive reactions until next term, I trust.

Our Christmas visitors have all left for home now and the house is strangely quiet. I’m sitting in front of the fire in a comfy seat with a magazine (and blip)……back to business as usual!

This is a screen shot from yesterday’s activities!
