Beyond dreich

'Dreich' hardly covers today's weather! Wet, grey, and foggy! The sort of day when you could be forgiven for hunkering down by the fire with a good book.

But MrM and I had no choice but to venture out into the gloom. First to the farm to collect our meat for Christmas - we eat very little of it these days, and when we do it's free-range, organic meat from this shop, and it's worth the journey. Even in this weather!

Then MrM drove us to Berwick, where I had an emergency appointment with the dentist to replace a large filling that parted company with a tiny pice of tooth last week. When I emerged half-an-hour later the chasm had been filled, and my purse was very much lighter!
