The Gilt of Cain
A lazy day today, nothing much doing apart from a long walk through the City of London, marvelling at all the amazing buildings, and the number of new builds still going up. It was a good day for snapping - I got lovely buildings, reflections, sunsets, and some nice dusk scenes. I also discovered three new places - Minster Court with its three huge bronze horses, the Tower Hill Memorial to those lost at sea in WW1 and WW2, and the Gilt of Cain, which I've chosen for my blip today. This sculpture commemorates the abolition of the transatlantic slave trade in 1807 and was unveiled in 2008 by Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

The extra is from a pub we walked past!
