cold enough for a coat

Here's Laney in her hoodie, and sporting a new leash with her name on it that was a Christmas gift from my friend. I used to make Laney wear her hoodie if the temp was below freezing, but she really dislikes it and tries to "scrape" it off at every chance, so I have not pushed the issue. But this morning at 10 F (-12 C) she was happy to have it!
Our caregiver returned today, letting us know that she slipped on some ice Monday evening and that is why she called in sick yesterday. So now we can enjoy the soup I made yesterday in good health.
