Waltzers

Seeing the Waltzers at this travelling Fairground kicked me right back to my childhood. I was brought up in a small village outside Aberdeen and the highlight of my early teen years was Meldrum Sports. Dyce Gala Day and the 'Carnies' at the beach. I always made a bee line for the Waltzers and pleaded them to push ours round faster and faster. In the background was the hits of the day but my strong recollection was Tina Turner's high energy 'Nutbush City Limits'. Days when the only thing I had to worry about was not missing the last bus home, bliss.
