Coast to coast ride

Wednesday's ride took us from Richmond 220 kms through to Carters Beach on the West coast riding the glorious Buller Gorge. The blip is Hawks Crag which has the rock face carved out so a single track road can go through. In the Buller River a whirlpool can be seen its a popular river for kayaks, rafting and jet boating.
The ride was 440 kms and five hours on the bike so a good day even allowing for the rain showers we rode through although I have been informed a couple of riders got caught in a torrential downpour and got soaked.
The river is pretty wide here!
