MEYER LEMON

I have 5 lemons on my dwarf tree & this beauty is ready to pick any day now. The others will be ripe soon.

I am drinking warm lemon water with honey every day, so I will enjoy it. I’m hoping the recent rain will make it tastier.

More rain tonight & all day tomorrow.
The hills are starting to get a tiny bit green, which is wonderful. I hope all this rain will put a dent in our severe drought.

Our Omicron Covid rates are increasing dramatically, just like around the holidays last year. This year, I know vaccinated people who are catching it, so it is time to re-evaluate risks again.

I have decided to
walk Angus, as usual, then stay close to home. The cold, rainy weather makes that agreeable. This time last year, I read it was
time to start having groceries delivered.
It had become too dangerous to
be inside public buildings, even with a mask. Here, those dark days are back.

I have the luxury to step back, to be
safe & well. My dear Blip friends, please
stay strong, & make choices that will safeguard your health. Snuggle up,
finds ways to safely stock up & find ways
to adapt to this new wave. Start baking
again, get out the puzzles & dive into that pile of books.
