Today we almost made a full house for our family Christmas meal. At the last minute our youngest’s partner was detained in London, as a very close contact of a positive C19 case. She was desperately disappointed as were we all. Hey ho.

The eleven of us who made it round our well ventilated dining room table still had a lovely day with much merriment, traditional games and, for some, two walks. The first post breakfast in the chilly rain and the second post lunch in the increasingly milder December sunshine.

Today’s gathering, among many others, are the reasons we sold up in Scotland and moved south to be near everyone this year.
