Murder

The militarization of the U.S. police is chilling. Their indiscriminate use of violence against innocent human beings is inexcusable. How is it that a group of police officers felt the need to murder someone who is mentally ill in a department store? Was there not some other way they could have disarmed this man and avoided the death a 14 year old girl in a dressing room?  
Something is drastically wrong with this picture.
(Not to mention the equally deplorable lack of support for the mentally ill in our fractured health care system.)
