Christmas lights.

I have been waiting to take a photo of the lights in our neighbour’s garden, but they have been having trouble keeping them all on at the same time.
However they seem to have managed it today.
They really are pretty.Nice to sea coloured ones for a change.

Actually saw a brief glimpse of the sun today.


Our dear friend J came for lunch. He is managing very well considering it is only a few days since his wife died.
He certainly enjoyed the Lancashire Hotpot I made. Must say we did too!

In other news at the moment we have a young man trying to unblock our drain.
We reported a problem to Yorkshire Water this morning, and must say we are very appreciative of their quick response, especially at this time of year.
Pitch black out there when he arrived.
He has managed to clear our drain, but apparently the drain has collapsed under next door’s drive.
Our neighbour is on his way home as I type this. Don’t think S. is going to be very pleased that they will be digging up his drive again.
He has had problems before. Joys of living in old property!
