Windsor and its castle

Today’s adventure was a visit to Windsor - 25 min walk to bus, bus to Bagshot, train to Ascot, train to Staines, train to Windsor. Not too busy but a bit wet. Some walking, some shopping.
Decided to take a bus to Staines, changed mind and asked bus driver about a bus to Ascot. Took this bus.. it was 25 minutes walk in the rain.. thankfully a kind gentleman walked the beginning so I didn’t get lost. Waited for almost an hour, because of delays, but thankfully heaters in the station to dry myself. Train to Bagshot.. too wet to try for a bus.. what to do.. asked at the petrol station, they didn’t know any cabbies.. walked past a local pub.. went in.. they gave me a number to call. Taxi booked, due in 15 minutes, bought a drink.. pretended it wasn’t busy.. taxi took me home. So wet!
