Project 365 day 361: On top of the fridge

This is what lurks on top of the fridge. P is experimenting with mushroom kits. These will, we hope, be the first of a crop of king oyster mushrooms. They emerge as pointed, slightly conical protuberances, which quickly sprout a little pinhead pimple. They have quickly outgrown their lid, which should have helped to keep them moist. We will have to experiment with alternatives.

It's been another quiet day, and again very wet, far wetter than forecast, so I was happy to be looking for subjects around the house. Thank you Laurie 54 for hosting Mono Monday.
